Don't be offended if I don't reply. I'm not intentionally rude. Just very unorganized when it comes to email.

Fitzhugh Runs Offensive Ad

Democrat Craig Fitzhugh is the incumbent representative in District 82, yet he chooses to hand out this highly offensive flyer:

The level of Fitzhugh's bigotry is shocking.

Hat tip to Michelle Malkin who learned of this from the Traditional Values Coalition.

Cross posted to TN4W.

I am shocked that Craig Fitzhugh the incumbent representative in District 82 would allow this type of ad to go out. This is shameful. It is obvious he has no regard for every person's rights or feelings no matter what level of intellect the person has. Can Mr. Fitzhugh really represent all of the people with an advertisement like that? I think not. Looks like it may be time for a recall.

I am a Republican. I know of Fitzhugh's record of supporting education. I am questioning the source of this ad. Something is not right here. I can't believe that Fitzhugh is behind this.

I feel very compelled to write about the poster that Tennessee State Representative Craig Fitzhugh's office made of the Special Olympian with President Bush's face superimposed onto. I am a taxpayer, a registered voter and the parent of a special needs child. This poster is an absolute outrage. This is the lowest anyone could possibly stoop, to use a child to attack someone. This incident needs to be brought to all the voters attention so they will know how low this camp stooped. The boy that the photo belongs to is an Olympian and gives 110 percent at every event he competes in. He has accomplished so much, and this camp calls him retarded. I would like to have 5 minutes with the person responsible for this. My Father and Fiance are truck drivers, they are both scheduled to be in the convoy at the Tampa fairgrounds on November 13th to help raise money for the Special Olympics and they too are outraged. If I was compelled to vote for Kerry a week ago, I would sure be changing my mind today and voting Bush. Please help make people aware of this incident. Thank you, Teri

I, too, am appalled by this flyer. On one site they are denying doing it and saying it was the opposite party. Regardless, of who it was, they need to be found out and everyone needs to know. I can not vote there as I am in another state, but my hopes are that whoever did it, will NEVER get another job again -even as dog catcher.

I too am outraged at this attempt to degrade the Special Olympics and one of their athletes. This is lower than any sewer could reach to do this kind of poster.
I as many others would like to have 5 minutes with this person. No better yet I think they should be made to attend all Special Olympic events for the next 2years and have to apologize to each of the athletes and each family member for this lack of brain they had.
My husband and I are very proud to be a part of the Special Olympics convoy in Tampa,Fl. on November 13,2004.
Thank you Annie

I am appalled at this disrespect for our handicapped youth. I think it is abominable. I honestly can't believe that this could or would be done in the 21 Century but I guess it is. I think this person or persons should be sent overseas to live like those people have to live and then maybe they would be more careful with thier ugly signs. Freedom of speach my behind. That is abuse of freedom of speech. This person or persons should not be elected to outhouse cleaner little less a position that could hurt people. They do not have a conscience.
